Oh it is great to be back in Dallas and at the Joule. This is my go-to hotel here in Dallas because I love the urban setting, the décor is top notch, and the shopping within walking distance is unparalleled. I arrived on a direct flight to the Dallas Fort Worth airport at 7:30am. I took an Uber to the hotel and arrived around 8:30am. I have stayed here many times, and I am always impressed by the lobby of the Joule. It is like nothing else I have seen! It is posh industrialism with a twist of chic steampunk. Everywhere you turn in this hotel, you find another piece of fine art or a cozy nook to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee or a cocktail. I find something new every time I am here.
Since I am an American Express Platinum card holder, I use the AmEx Fine Hotels and Resorts program almost every time I travel. With this program I receive many benefits including: noon check-in, free room upgrade if available, breakfast for two, 4 pm check out, and a $100 resort gift certificate. Every time I have stayed at the Joule I have also received an in-room treat such as gourmet food, truffles and champagne. Since I was so early I wasn’t expecting to have a room available yet, but I was wrong. There was a nice gentleman at the front desk who greeted me and gave me a bottled water. Then Megan, at the front desk, assisted me with check-in. Megan and I chatted for a bit while she check on a room. Like I said, I didn’t think a room would be available yet. However, a room was available and it was a double upgrade! My heart might have a leapt a bit because I’m just a girl who love upgrades.
The décor of my room is amazing, and probably the most impressive I have seen. Upon entering the room you encounter a large glowing chandelier hanging from a 16 foot ceiling. I was immediately drawn to it and then led to my very own terrace with a table and chairs overlooking the Eye on Main Street Dallas. The room is very spacious and is equipped with a large desk, mirror with great lighting, wardrobe, king size bed and sofa. The very large bathroom has glass a vanity with a chrome vessel sink, a large jetted tub, separate walk-in shower, and toilet room. The Joule always has a stocked refrigerator and the best snack tray for late night munchies. It is hard for me to say what I love most about the Joule and why I come back time and time again. It could be any of the following: the great service, amazing décor, delicious choices of restaurants, the shopping, the world class spa, the art, or the rooms. This time I have to say the room is what took the top spot! Take a look at these photos of this amazing hotel. I will definitely be back.
